Ahhh Oakland! Some things never change and if something was going to never change that place would likely be Oakland. Growing up in East Oakland I am no stranger to “side shows’, impromptu car rallies where dudes do ‘doughnuts’ and endanger themselves and others to look cool. But when I saw this video pop up on my internet I was amused and disgusted. Niggas are now stopping traffic on busy freeways to show off their gaudy cars and hold up people trying to get here or there.

This is the conversation I heard at my son’s school today and it was not between two children but it was between two “adults” talking about a child (fat light skinned one with the curly hair). Every day when I take my son to school I am overwhelmed by the ignorance of the adults. I use really foul language in general but in the presence of children I am able to control myself but the conversations I hear amongst the parents in the morning are cringe worthy; not to mention the stench of marijuana some of these people have on them.
It all really bothers me so much but I have to ask myself why? I guess the main thing is that as a Black woman I feel so much shame when I see other Black women behaving badly. Everyone should be treated as an individual and all that good shit but we know we are not; especially Black women! But beyond the personal stigma I worry about my son too; by extension of their parents a lot of the kids are fucking awful as well. They steal, cuss, and lie and just generally have this negative aura; my son is not use to this and gets taken advantage because he has never had to deal with children on this level.
Anyway school sucks, people suck, and we are all screwed. I wish I could afford a private school but in the meantime little man is going to have to learn about the world and it’s creatures a little faster. Kids these days are not allowed to be kids.
I find it hard to believe that people are dying for this crappy movie. Supposedly Muslims really hate it when you mock their prophet and this movie really goes overboard. Muhammad is called a child molester, gay, and a fraud among other things. In Libya and other Arab countries they are killing Ambassadors and burning down KFC’s in protest but like with anything I see in mainstream media I am skeptical of what they are saying is the cause. As this violence is coming so close to the anniversary of 911 I am sure people are more pissed off about the West occupying, overthrowing, and bombing the shit out of them for the last 10 years.
A good example is the LA riots from the 90’s people were pissed about the Rodney King verdict but it was the straw that broke the camel’s back. People in LA were generally mad because of years of racism, poverty, and police brutality. This movie is the shitty straw that broke the tired camel’s back; but best believe people are not just mad because of this “film”.
I knew I did not like Nicki Minaj before but this video cemented it; a stupid hoe singing about being a stupid hoe. Here are my top reasons I dislike Nicky Garbaj so.
1. Her main audience is young girls and women with the mentality of young girls and all she talks about his sex and ‘shitting’ on people. It turned my stomach one day when I saw a child young enough to be in stroller singing one of her songs. WTF!
2. She cannot rap for shit. I wanted to be informed before I wrote this blog so I listened to many of her songs and it was unbearable. Her whole talent is built on stupid facial expressions and grunting.
3. Are grown women supposed to be worshipping Barbie? I have not been fixated on dolls since I was 10 years old. It’s just weird that a near 30 y/o woman constantly talking about being a child’s toy.
4. Her ego is way too large for a woman that is constantly putting out shit records.
5. She basically stole Lil Kim’s whole persona and style and glossed it up. The younger fans don’t even know who Lil Kim was as they were all born in 1998. I am not a huge Lil Kim fan but she had a presence and could actually spit a rhyme without acting like a complete idiot. Lil Kim also embodied the whore archetype but she did it so much better than Nicki. There was always the nagging suspicion that Lil Kim did not write her own rhymes but with Nicki there is no doubt; bitch looks brain dead.
6. “I am the female Weezy”, yeah girl you are. Nonsensical Dr. Seuss rhymes about bullshit and a lot of extra theatrics.
7. She acts like she gonna be here forever; one can look at Lil Kim and see you have to be a little humble. Just because people are feeling you today does not mean they will tomorrow. This is especially so with her because her whole career is built upon her youth and looks and not so much talent.
8. Does she really talk about black women being “Nappy head hoes” and “Monkey”? I think she is from the Caribbean but that last time I checked she was black; or maybe that blonde/pink/orange hair is real? This is the epitome of self-hate.
9. She started the whole silicone in the ass trend. True, people were doing it before her but she took it to a wholenothalevel.

Aww lawd! I am visiting the one person that reads my blog so I doubt anyone noticed that I was on vacation. I am currently in sunny (freezing) Philadelphia spending time with old friends. There has been a lot of stuff going while I was away from my trusty (rusty) Dell desktop computer. Steve Jobs died. Nancy Grace farted. People were protesting in San Francisco.
My personal struggles have included relapsing on carbs and soda, chasing dick with mental illness, and struggling with being a pushover Vs. an aggressive bitch. Anyway if my flight is ok (and I pray that it is) I should be home tomorrow. Then I will back to not posting regularly on my blog.

Damn this is what you call SELF SNITCHING! We all know that welfare/foodstamps are sometimes abused in the hood. But there are several music videos going around now that are just ridiculous; they for the most part glorify EBT abuse even though they claim to be satirical in nature. Best believe when it comes time to cut people’s benefits these music videos are going to come into evidence. But I believe that for every person that abuses there is a family struggling that really uses and NEEDS the help.
Anti-Jemima even got food stamps for a minute in 2009 after I got laid off from my job; best believe I am not going to make a music video about it though. And just for the record when I went to the welfare office there were plenty of Blacks but just as many WHITES, LATINOS, and OTHER so this is just not a Black thing.
I have been following the story of Michelle Le a pretty young nursing student that had been missing since May. Her body was finally recovered a day ago and the prime suspect is another young woman who was known to hate her because she supposedly broke up the relationship with her ‘baby daddy’.
I never understood people who go crazy after an ex breaks up with them, as if stalking and murdering is going to bring your lover back. So the suspect Giselle Esteban is currently in jail and is pregnant. In the media they tend to try and convict people in a matter of days but the circumstantial evidence against this girl is overwhelming they found Michele’s blood on her shoe and other physical evidence in her car; they have her on camera in the area of the disappearance.
I am sure Giselle had some sort of mental breakdown but killing people over jealously is just so archaic and biblical. Killing over a dude that does not even want you is insane. I have been told to kick rocks plenty of times by dudes but I have just kept it moving.
RIP Michelle and to Giselle, pray that you don’t get that lethal injection.
Riding the bus is lame enough but imagine how bad it could be when you are surrounded by the fresh aroma of piss. Riding the MUNI bus in San Francisco is a chore and it does not have to be. I was on the bus yesterday to go to Golden Gate Park and the whole bus reeked of urine it was so strong I was convinced I had to be sitting in it. But this is typical with MUNI if its not piss its shit; I even once was on a bus and the guy pulled out a crack pipe and started smoking it up.
MUNI is gross but its never going to get better until San Francisco gets better. SF is a haven for derelicts, drug abusers, and head cases from all around the globe because they know here they can get a handout. I think it’s a shame though more has not been done to clean up the streets and public transit so at least tourists and hard working people can ride the bus in peace. I always complain that this city belongs to the bums because they get away with numerous ‘quality of life crimes’ because most of the time the cops don’t even bother to cite them; so they can piss and shit the buses and streets with impunity but if a regular person breathes hard they get a ticket (parking ticket for example).
If I was in charge I would stop giving handouts to people who don’t want to change and get better. If you get caught shitting and pissing on the sidewalk because you are too high or drunk to know better; you would be doing street clean up for 6 months with drug testing or go to jail. This will never happen because San Francisco is run by ‘Poverty Pimps’ and the ‘Homeless Industry’ that treats the down trodden like commodity; if they got better they could not make money off of them anymore.
Sigh, I am ranting and all I wanted to do was complain about pissy smelling buses but it is a bigger issue I guess. I probably should leave San Francisco before it falls into the ocean from the next big earthquake or before I drown in a large cesspool; I mean an even bigger cesspool than I wade though everyday.
There have been a lot of violent crimes in the Bay Area lately in general we have always had our fair share of crime here but it has been more senseless lately. A three year old boy in East Oakland was slain with a stray bullet. This happens all the time believe it or not but this was made more poignant because there was a video on youtube floating around of the baby after he was killed.
I used live in the projects right behind the liquor store where the baby was shot. So weird the things we remember; my mom had a real bad crack addiction so she would send us back and forth to the liquor store with one dollar food stamps but we could only spend 50 cents so she could get the change to buy drugs. That was the scam back in the day because you could get real money back if you spent 50 cents or more on a food stamp you could change back. Imagine how many trips to the store my brother and I made?!
Anyway I see things have not changed much in the area and people wonder why I say I hate Oakland.

Ah lawd you all probably think I am slacking or just taking a blog sabbatical but my computer was just broken. My computer is four years old which is ancient in terms of technology but there is no freaking way it should just die like it did.
Dealing with Dell is a fucking nightmare they have zero respect for their customers. Their entire operation is in India and I am in no way xenophobic but it just sickens me how they moved all of their customer service to Asia to save money. When you call you literally get passed along from department to department; I actually spent three hours on the phone at one point. All the workers read from this script and try to up sell you at every turn.
Anyway after almost 10 days my computer was fixed by “Jerry an independent contractor”. Dell has rigged it so you cannot just take your computer to a shop and to get it fixed you have to go through them…Sigh.
Anyway it’s fixed and I am back for whatever it’s worth.
