An up and coming SoCal rapper named Inkyy tweeted “Yolo” before his drunken friend crashed into a wall and killed him. When I read the article in the DailyMail (my new favorite depressing website) I checked out the guy’s music and was prepared to be underwhelmed but his single was actually good.
This guy let his whole future be destroyed over weed and alcohol which is so stupid. From this point on can we use YOLO for important life risks? Yell YOLO when you are about to climb a mountain or ask someone to marry you. You can no longer say YOLO to justify drunk driving or having sex with some stripper you just met.
YOLO but YODO (You only die once) too!

Bobbi Kristina Brown was at the Billboard Music awards the other night; while I did not waste brain cells watching it I have an opinion. I think Bobbi Kristina should use whatever wealth her mom was able to leave her and live a comfortable life outside the spotlight. I hear there are plans for a reality show and perhaps a singing career for her. This would be a bad idea to walk into a life that just chewed up and spit out your mom. Seeing as Bobbi K grew up with little stability due to her parents’ volatile relationship and substance abuse she probably less equipped to deal with fame than her mother was. I wish her well ultimately but with her own substance abuse she should just lay low and not do a crappy reality show or pursue some mediocre music career.
I am by no means religious and it has been many years since I have been to anyone’s church for any reason. I am very spiritual and suspicious and have a lot of weird ideas like most people that grow up lonely do; with all that being said here are my thoughts on the Tupac hologram and death in general: I believe your life affects your afterlife; I am not sure what happens there but I am sure there is one. Tupac had a very tumultuous life and many of his songs were about getting murdered or violence. When you die in such a way; it is important to have people positively hold your memory and work through the tragedy and this helps put your energy (soul) to rest. In Tupac’s case he died and his energy has been called upon negatively probably a billion times through his music and image. We have this flesh but we are all just energy when the flesh can no longer maintain the spirit the spirit just does not go away. Think about the saying to ‘conjure up spirits’ it’s a term that is in our common language but we never really think about. In life and death we have the ability to manifest through our emotions; when you listen to a Tupac song and you feel that ‘fight energy’ you are conjuring his spirit on a small scale.
So Tupac is definitely dead he no longer walks this earth in flesh but his spirit is still here; and working! A hologram is not real but a more tangible way to conjure up his spirit; more and more people calling upon him; he is not resting in peace. They are talking about putting his hologram/spirit on tour to spit out the same tired ass ‘gansta rap’ junk that has been recycled for the last 20 years. It is possible though that Tupac is enjoying his resurrection though if not it will be a hundred years before he can ‘rest’.
Lawd forgive me, this video clip was the first thing I thought of when Whitney Houston died. It seems like a lot of talented singers have been dying recently; Amy Winehouse, Etta James, and now Whitney.
I was not surprised but surprised, it seems like in the end she did not really kick her drug habit just traded it in for prescription ones. If I was a celebrity I would not go near a bottle of Ativan, Klonopin, or Xanax because if you think about the big celebrity deaths one or more of these drugs has been involved. Anyway I don’t have anything to add to the Whitney Houston narrative going on; she was a good singer that died after too much drink/drugs; it happens…all too often.
I was just randomly was reading about Ice Cube because I am fan and a nerd; and I realized two of Ice Cube’s co-stars committed suicide. I am sure Hollywood is full of failures that consider or commit suicide because the entertainment game has been hard on them but statistically it seems Ice Cube co-stars have a high suicide rate.
Michael Roof
Michael was in my favorite Ice Cube of all time XXX: State of the Union. It seems that he struggled with mental illness and after his reality show got cancelled he hung himself. It’s so weird to watch a movie and realize that the actor is dead now. I also remember him from the first XXX and he seemed like a decent dude.
Justin Pierce
Justin was in Next Friday the sequel to Friday which I have watched at least 500x. Justin also hung himself after dealing with some personal problems.
These two deaths happened about 9 years apart but it is still creepy that two actors working with the same person committed suicide in them same manner. I am sure it has nothing to do with Ice Cube but still…
Since my last post was about Amy Winehouse I will give her the honor of being “song of the day” on antijemima.com. Someone actually uploaded her whole album ‘Frank’ on YouTube. Its so weird looking at pictures of her in better health; drugs are a bitch!
It’s sad she died but like people are saying its no surprise; to even glance at her you can tell she was seriously ill. I am not going to bash her in death but I will admit that I am neutral about her death.
She was good singer and songwriter but she was also human; and all humans die. Amy was a drug addict and their life expectancy is very low. I see daily how drug addiction can ruin people’s spirit and body. But at the end of the day it’s their life and decision to get fucking high till they die; addicted or not.
Amy lived life her way and I don’t think anyone could have saved her expect for her.
I watch that show King of the Hill all the time and today I was like ‘Damn Luanne is dead’. Actors have it good I guess because they live on forever in film. If I croak all I have is this website no one reads. I am sure my friends and family will remember me but as long as King of the Hill lives in syndication I will never forget Brittany Murphy.
P.S wasn’t weird and suspicious how her husband died like less than a year later?
