Has anyone been wondering where I am? My computer is a piece of shit and I need to buy a new one. It’s working for a few hours today so I am going to try to post a few things. I am shopping for a new computer but I don’t wanna get ripped off so I am taking my time.
Anyway this “Tranny Minaj” video is scary and funny at the same time and if I must say, far better than the original! At least I was able to laugh and the original was just a sad commentary on the state of hip-hop.
I have not thought of Kevin Costner in a while but with the death of Whitney Houston he has come back into my consciousness. Aww man he is so fine! I see White dudes all the time that are ‘cute’ but all the recent pictures of Kevin have been giving me a semi. Maybe I am just getting old?
Can you imagine my horror as I was waiting for the bus and saw this loud cumbersome protest coming down the road? It’s ironic because I am a member of SEIU and they were making me late for work. It’s hard enough to get a bus on time in San Francisco but when I saw this I knew there was no way that I was going to be on time. I had my cute shoes on and had to walk like 2 miles. Not sure what they are mad about but I feel lucky just to have a job so I am not complaining.
I might get religious if I keep watching these videos. “Whoever drinks of these waters shall thirst again,” as the Savior declared to the Samaritan woman; “but whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him, shall never thirst — but it shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life!”
Faith is a heck of a thing because with any religion you have to take an incredible leap of faith, but once you really believe I guess you have that comfort that someone is watching out for you.
Even putting aside the religious aspect of this video it has some good points about “this transitory life”. We work so hard for all these materials things but in the end we are not really happy and ask ourselves, “Is this all”?
Lawd forgive me, this video clip was the first thing I thought of when Whitney Houston died. It seems like a lot of talented singers have been dying recently; Amy Winehouse, Etta James, and now Whitney.
I was not surprised but surprised, it seems like in the end she did not really kick her drug habit just traded it in for prescription ones. If I was a celebrity I would not go near a bottle of Ativan, Klonopin, or Xanax because if you think about the big celebrity deaths one or more of these drugs has been involved. Anyway I don’t have anything to add to the Whitney Houston narrative going on; she was a good singer that died after too much drink/drugs; it happens…all too often.
All hail the birth of Baby BeyJesus better known as Blue IV. I was reading TMZ.com and the comments are ridiculous; they are harping that little Blue is not Black because she is light and her hair is straight. I am not absolutely sure that Bey gave birth to this child but I am absolutely sure she is black and the child of the pair (she looks just like them). People who are not Black may not know this but even some of the darkest babies are born with light skin and straight hair. My son whom is a very dark Brother was born with straight hair and very light; it took a month to get his full color.
On another note doesn’t Tom Cruise’s “adopted” son look just like him? I am no super sleuth but this kid has some Cruise/Mapother DNA in his blood. I read some time ago that after the divorce from Nicole Kidman, Connor Cruise lived with his Aunt (Tom Cruise’s sister) most of the time. Most likely Tom’s sister is the bio mom hence the family resemblance; because there is no way Tom Cruise was boning a Black Woman, really!
I am all for gay rights but this politically correct stuff is getting out of control. I had no idea who Roland Martin was before he made the mistake of Tweeting something that offended Gay folk. I do not doubt that gay people get bashed, bullied, or that gay kids sometimes commit suicide but a lot of marginalized groups encounter the same thing. I for example experienced bashing and bullying as a teen and considered suicide many times. Today in 2012 overweight people still experience discrimination and in our society it is acceptable; even recently Karl Lagerfeld got in trouble for calling Adele fat; is he going to lose his fashion house?
In this country free speech is dying and it is being ushered in by this PC movement largely on the backs of gays, where you are not allowed to have an opinion that is anything to contrary to the GLAAD version of life. We are engineering a society of weaklings that has to be protected by the PC mafia; if you don’t agree with mainstream ideas you are automatically a bigot, racist, or hatemonger; these labels are thrown around so freely. The Roland Martin Tweet was something to the affect “if you are watching the Superbowl and your buddies like the David Beckham underwear ad slap the ish (shit) out of him”. The Tweet was dumb but is this man really going to lose his job because he thought an underwear ad was homoerotic, he is not allowed to say that? People may counter and say that he advocated violence and I still call bullshit; the Superbowl advocates violence; more women get beat during this time than any other; his Tweet was just stupid.
Anyway the gays may feel vindicated if Roland loses his job but the movement is going in the wrong direction. If you can’t say anything about Gay people then you can’t say anything about anyone. I better not hear any more jokes about fat people or see Nutty Professor 3 come out.
Lastly, dissention and debate makes us stronger and smarter. If you don’t have people saying stupid stuff how are you going to learn to think critically and make decisions for yourself; instead we have the media telling us what’s right and we all know that they don’t have our best interest in mind.
I am hardly emotional and I listened to this song after not hearing it for a while and it made me cry. My own mother was nothing like the ‘Sadie’ in this song but I still mourn her sometimes. She been dead for more than 20 years if she were alive I can’t imagine what she would have been like. She definitely had mental health and drug problems and basically drank herself to death. Sometimes I feel really resentful she could not do better; but instead of being bitter I should use it as motivation to be a better mother; I have room for improvement.
There is something about Antoine Dodson that I really love it could just be the part of me that wants to see the underdog to succeed. For those of you that don’t know Antoine Dodson is the internet sensation of 2010 for his impromptu news interview that was later auto-tuned. Anyway I suspected this brother would fade into the sunset never to be heard from again but he has managed to parlay his infamy into a little singing career.
Antoine is no Usher but has charisma and seems with a little help from the studio gods he can sound quite decent. I am curious to hear what an album from him would sound like; his next track definitely should be a dance track; because if you can get people dancing you have a hit!
I am not sure why anyone would want to turn my site into a Phishing site but they did and I was offline for a minute. I don’t know anything about programming and making things presentable online so I had to pay a guy; and now I am back. This site is like my neglected dog; I really love it but work too much to treat it right.
On top of getting hacked my computer completely shitted out and I had to restore it to factory setting so now, ‘It’s like new’! Just kidding it’s a piece of shit, a six year old computer restored to ‘factory settings’ is still an old ass computer. I need to get on that Mac bandwagon, I need to do things that a PC can’t like edit videos properly. I just hate once you buy a computer you are committed to spending hours on the phone talking to people in India if something goes wrong.
Anyway, no more complaining I am just ecstatic that my site is back up and I was able to jerry rig my computer together till I can figure something out.
